MONGOLIAN MASK INVASION
The first ever traveling nomadic Mongolian Tsam mask show in Massachusetts

Boston, December 2, 2009:

WHO: The Mon-Ael Mongolian Cultural Center for the Arts (MCCA), a Colorado based organization presents the first ever traveling authentic Mongolian art show in the East Coast.

WHAT: “Tsam” Dance Mask Show at the Haley House Bakery Café.

WHEN: Opening Reception – Saturday, December 5th from 5-7pm @ Haley House Café. Show runs from December 1st-January 31.

WHERE: Haley House Bakery Café

WHY: An exciting new exhibition of cultural, authentic Mongolian art, introducing a new outlook for the Boston arts community.

The “MON-AEL” Mongolian Cultural Center for the Arts (MCCA) was founded by Tsogtsaikhan Mijid in 2003 in Denver, Colorado. It is the vision of the MCCA to unite the Mongolian artists throughout the United States in forming a group focused on bridging together the Mongolian cultural arts and the world.

The MCCA is dedicated to introducing and preserving the performing and visual arts of Mongolia through traditional and contemporary art practices to promote the understanding and appreciation of the dynamic and diverse cultural heritage of Mongolia. The MCCA showcases a wide range of fine art exhibits as well as performance shows. Since its inception, the MCCA has performed and exhibited at numerous venues throughout the United States.

It is the ultimate goal of the MCCA to establish and connect the boundaries between Mongolian art and the world by creating an atmosphere of cross cultural understanding, exposure and acceptance.
